Community
ESS is committed to contributing to the communities in which it operates. The success of ESS depends not only on the skills and resources of our people, and the relationships we foster with our clients, but also on the health and prosperity of the communities we serve.
Recent Event Participation:
2009 American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Culpeper, VA - ESS is proud to participate and sponsor the Relay for Life event annually. Relay for Life is a 2-day event that inspires communities to raise money to find a cure for cancer, celebrate local survivors, and remember loved ones who have fought cancer in the past. In 2008, Karen J. Carroll, VP of Finance and Administration was the event co-chair, and ESS is proud of the committee achievements. The Culpeper event raised over $260,000 for the American Cancer Society.
Pamper Me Pink - Promoting Breast Cancer Awareness and Detection, ESS teamed up with local businesses, and the Culpeper Regional Hospital for an evening devoted to women's health. Guest speakers provided information regarding cancer prevention and detection, and the attendees were treated to massages, lotion, hand waxing, DermaScans, and many raffle opportunities. All proceeds will provide mammograms for women in the community otherwise unable to receive them.
